Tweets,

I live near Idlewood (sp?) Park in Redmond, on the west side of Lake
Sammimish, NE 36th St., a few miles south of Marymoor Park. Despite the
proximity, it's been a while since I've been there. I went down Sunday
and today and found Bald Eagles perched in the trees! Sunday, there was one
adult. Today there were two adults. A bystander told me that a juvenal
has been in the area, too. However, I don't know if she meant "recently"
or perhaps during the summer breeding season.

Anyway, does anyone know more about them? Are they year round residents?
Are they just wintering on the lake?

Whatever the case, if you're an eastsider (eastcider ? ;*) and you need an
eagle fix, I've got the place for you. From the small parking lot, there is
a gravel trail that goes straight to the water. The eagles perch in a tall
red cedar (?) tree on the left, next to some adjacent condominiums. The
tree of choice has bare branches at the top; it's perfect!
