Bald Eagles can be seen year round at Lake Sammamish, but their (small)
numbers could be supplemented by wintering or just wandering individuals as
well. I'm guessing they breed around there somewhere as I've seen adults
flying north along the lake shore at Lake Sammamish State Park (LSSP)
carrying nest material in late winter. I'm sure someone probably knows of
such. Up at the north end, especially off Marymoor Park, I see them
occasionally perched in the trees, especially along the NW side of the Lake
and out on the pilings toward the western shore. Although not seen on every
outing, and most of mine are focused at just the south end and LSSP, they
could be seen at anytime and anywhere around the Lake.

BTW, there were two swamp sparrows and a bright yellow adult male Wilson's
warbler on the ELWCBC at LSSP on 12/16.
