Tweeters,
Took advantage of the first rainless morning in weeks to stop
at Capitol Lake Park in Olympia, WA. Saw several Mallards, six
female Canadian Geese, many Coots and many Gulls. Joggers,
especially with dogs, disturbed the birds greatly.
Also drove to the Beaver Pond in McLane Park, west of Olympia.
Saw sex pair of Mallards and a lone female who was quacking her
best to attract a mate. Two Lesser Canadian Geese were at the
far side of the pond. Although this Park is usually filled
with a variety of woodland birds, I neither saw nor heard any
today.
