In regard to the second activity listed below, I know a place where you
*can* keep a list of birds seen while riding a model railroad: Kitsap
Live Steamers, in Port Orchard, have a track (a quarter mile? I am
terrible at guessing distances) through a nice forested park, where you
can see birds such as Steller's jays and Northern red-shafted flickers as
you ride on the open cars. Nice way to combine two hobbies! --Anna
