The Falcated Teal was still at Tofino Inlet, Vancouver Island, to at least
Feb. 4. No reports either way to 5 PM Feb. 5. See earlier postings for
directions or call Victoria RBA at (604) 592- 3381. Those who have seen it
may wish to post a note to me (or to all Tweeters) with observations and
thoughts about the "wildness", or true vagrancy, of this bird. It has been
accepted as a vagrant by the BC Field Ornithologists Records Committee, but
new information that challenges or supports that decision would be welcomed.
