Hi Paula and other tweets, I also was up there this weekend, on Saturday
with fellow Tweeters Kelly Cassidy and Jennifer Seavey. We saw the huge
flock which we found difficult to estimate since it never sat still very
long. But it was probably in the 5K-10K range, and made quite a noise.
I'm from Texas, where every other Snow Goose is blue, so it was neat to
see a uniform flock of white Snow Geese.

Another highlight was the drive from from Edison to West 90, in which we
saw an anatum Peregrine, a Merlin, and the Gyrfalcon being harassed in
flight by another Peregrine. The Gyr had something in its talons, and
landed far out in a field. We drove SW and found it again, this time
closer and in better light. Too bad we dipped on Kestrel to miss a
4-falcon opportunity.
