Today, in Ladner, B.C., my neice & I observed a large gray hawk eating a
mallard. The yellow eye color and size matches the discription of the
Northern Harrier in the Audubon Handbook of Western Birds. I suspected a
Northern Goshawk, but it did not have red eyes. Do Northern Harriers take
ducks? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Ann
