I might be going out on a *lark* here (yes pun intended!), but I have a
suggestion for an overnighter: Vancouver Island. I'd love to go chase
the Falcated Teal there, but I don't see it would really be fun without
spending the night (otherwise the trip would be 70% driving and 30%
birding). The Tofino Inlet area is supposed to be great birding
otherwise, plus a chance for us to get the FT, which I believe is only
the 3rd record in the lower 48. Anyway, just a suggestion. If we did go
there, we'd have to prepare for *fowl* weather (*duck*, here comes another
pun!). The trip could be frustrating though, if we didn't find the FT.
It could end up being a *wild goose* chase!

Maybe Byran Gates could show us around.
