Today I went for a walk w/ a friend, who brought her Yorkshire Terrier.
A mature bald eagle came down for a look. We walked on. My pal let her
wee dog run free. I suggested he...might look like birdfood. Ten
seconds after the dog was re-collected, the eagle made a low pass over us
from behind. Disappointed, it flew up and perched on one of the tall
Doug firs at the N end of the peninsula.
Saw two baldies there yesterday, a red tail the day before, three pr
common mergansers, many other waterfowl. Check it out. But if you take
a small dog, keep it close by!
