This has nothing to do with birds. All to frequently the listserver
cannot deliver messages to someone who has subscribed to Tweeters. As
owner of the list I get notified (twice) for each message. This often
results in over 100 eror messages a day in my email.

I too like to follow the tweeter threads, but when they are constantly
interrupted by error messages it gets very frustrating 9I get pi(I get pissshed)
There seem to be several reasons for the errors. In some cases it
appears accounts are dropped and the user hasn't unsubscribed. In others
there appear to be system problems so that messages cannot be sent from
the listserver - maybe someone turned the system off???

In any case this is to notify Tweeters that my policy from now on will be
to drop users from the list whose address generates repeated errors. There
will be no notice of this action given. So if you are suddenly missing
the tweeters messages, this may be why. You can always subscribe again
and if driven to need the missing messages use the archive feature to
get any that were posted since your abrupt drop.

For those of you who know you will be shutting your system down or that
the system admin will be doing maintenance, I suggest using either the
"postpone" or "digest" mode to stop or limit messages. Chances are you
will survive my pissshing off - or put more directly I won't be attracted
to your irritating noise in my email.
