I might also point out that the Resource Abuse Movement (oops, always
make that error, meant "Wise Use Movement") is very skilled in their
use of modern technology to propagandize their issues. Flooding
Congressfolk with piles of faxes all originating from one fellow
in Longview, WA which appeared to be from different individuals
living in Indiana is my latest favorite.

I'd hate to see tweeters become a political forum - there are plenty
of these available and I already waste enough of my life arguing
in them - but I don't see any problem with simple notices or requests
for action on issues which are clearly bird related.

I assume most of us want to see bird species avoid extinction - even
AFTER we've twitched them?
