Following on with Neil's pointers, ...

For those of you who want to say something about the Nat. Audubon
Society, there is the month-old Usenet newgroup, alt.org.audubon to
read/write to. Ditto, alt.org.sierraclub

Neither of these newsgroups are "sponsored" by the respective organizations.

Those organizations _have_ or _are_ in the process of setting up their
own information servers, which may or may not include discussion services.
Audubon currently sponsors a Compuserve discussion/info group, but is in
the process of branching out to other venues.

The Nature Conservancy is in the process of setting up a www server,
I believe, but they have no (sponsored or unsponsored) representation
on Usenet --yet?
