We witnessed the French solution to this problem in 1986. We were in a
park in Le Havre on a fine spring day when this guy dressed like Evel
Knievel roared up on a white motorcycle and stopped about 30 feet away.
He lined the front wheel of the bike up with a canine offering; a white
pod-like vacuum head descended along the front wheel fork, covered the
pile, and sucked it into a container on the back of the cycle. Then
another pod came down and scrubbed the concrete with a whirling brush.
And it was on to the next pile.

Is this what you had in mind, Dennis?
