Pernicious plants mentioned are all or most all listed by the state
Nouxious Weed Board. There is wealth of information on their habitat
characteristics, competition with native plants, impact on wildlife, and
frequent damage to agriculture activities. One of the latest to invade
the puget area is Knapp Weed. You'll find it all over your socks and
pants after birding in the open grasslands east of the mountains.

Gene I believe reed canary grass was introduced to stop soil erosion. Check
with the King Conservation District in Renton. They were the source of
my information.
