This thread about avian hunting techniques reminds me of the time I saw a
red-tail get a fish. It happened near Brewster in the summer of 1989. The
bird just dove and grabbed the poor fish right out of a desert pond. I
didn't know red-tails did this. The Birder's Handbook lists fish as part of
their diet, however. Is this a common occurance?
