I saw several of this color variation in Anchorage during the fall migration
period several years ago. Since I hadn't yet seen a Eurasian Wigeon, I tried
to make them be Eurasians but it just didn't work. Since they were mixed in
with flocks of "normal" American Wigeons, the difference in forehead color
was quite striking.
