I see fewer Band-tailed Pigeons less often and in fewer places than I
used to in years past. The decline seems to have taken place particularly
over the last five or so years. I used, for example, to see a few every
time I visited Discovery Park - now I seldom encounter them there.
Interestingly, where I most often see them these days is in wooded
residential areas of North Seattle and South Edmonds.
