Those in my yard like suet, the more inclusions (seeds, insects,
fruits--those bird-food marketers are really doing their job) the better.
They eat apples from the apple tree in the fall, and they forage for
insects on any open ground. And of course to keep them around in the
breeding season, better have some snags in the neighborhood (we're trying
diligently to keep our neighbors from cutting them all down, but it's a
battle).
