Three years ago, in June I believe, my wife and I definitely found a family
group of Harlequins (female and young) near Sullivan Lake, Pend Oreille Co.
The location was about 3 miles NE of Sullivan Lake, on Sullivan Creek. A
good road exists along this creek, and the habitat is quite good for
Harlequins. I believe I can get precise information for you from my field
notes, if you are interested.

Further east, when I used to live in western Montana, we often saw Harlequin
family groups on creeks tributary to the North Fork Flathead River, just
south of the Canadian border, and just west of Glacier National Park. I'm
guessing now, but I believe that would be approximately 150 miles further
east than Sullivan Lake.
