I've been on tweeters for about a year. Seems like this female/young
birder thread has set the record for volume of mail and possibly number of
participants. (If the truth be known I'm little tired of it.)

Thursday I drove the Lowell River Road both ways between Everett and
Snohomish. Saw an large number |of large hawks. I was in a hurry and
didn't have time to stop but here's the drive by list:

RT Hawk - 5
Hawk sp. RTH sized - 6
RL Hawk (possible) - 1
Bald Eagle (mature) - 1
Bald Eagle (imm,??) - 1
Smaller raptors - 4
D C Cormorant - 2
+ The usual assortment of of smaller birds.

I imagine the count would be higher with another pair of eyes or taking
time to stop and scan. This is difficult road to bird, no shoulder and
few places to pull over to stop. I was amazed at the numbers I saw
buzzing along at 40mph.
