Tweeters,

>Ring-necked Pheasant were a pleasant site as well.

At the risk of offending (I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time either) let me
bring up the old *Site* vs. *Sight* issue. I've noticed the substitution of
Site for Sight increase recently on Tweeters. A *site* is a physical location,
point or position such as a bird banding site while a *sight* is a view,
spectacle, glimpse. For example, "Seeing young people enjoying birding is a
wonderful sight." As would be the view of a Common Grackle in Washington!

Being involved with a newsletter (a real learning experience!), I've received
my share of comments regarding improper word usage and grammar so I hope no one
takes this note personally!
