Today, 6 January, the Grackle was observed at the Walla Walla College
Dairy Farm between 10 & 11 a.m. It was feeding with the large flock of
blackbirds and starlings when a Merlin began to harass the flock. The
Grackle flew into a tree where it perched for 30 min. and we were able to
photograph it.
Also of interest is 1, possibly 2 adult Western Gulls at Ice Harbor
Dam.
At McNary NWR HQ along the nature trail today was a White-throated
Sparrow and on the 4th a Swamp Sparrow was seen. If you see the Grackle
- please give me a call at 529-0080. Thanks
