After reading Hal Opperman's posting, my decision (after this weekend) to
limit myself to no more than a couple of postings per day seems like a good
one. I'm not going to get a sponsor, earn credits, or pay to have people
read my thoughts. If a lot of you are like me, you find you have opinions
on a whole bunch of things, and if you have even a modicum of ego, you
think that some other people might be interested in them. The problem is
that I respond to the load that awaits me in the morning, then during the
day there are always more messages of interest that generate additional
response. The best strategy might be to let them pile up and respond only
once a day, to the few you choose from the list as being important to you.

Another solution that occurred to me is for people to direct more of their
responses to particular individuals who ask questions or give opinions
rather than sending to the whole group. I tend to do the latter for what I
call efficiency's sake--i.e., let more readers benefit from some general
information--but it might also be for ego's sake too, heaven forbid, so I'm
going to start taking a hard look at response breadth.

With enough care and ideas (this is my last one, I swear it), we can work
it out.
