Here's a "newbie" question, for those not yet saturated with gull
postings. From what I had read, I thought Iceland Gulls were simply not
supposed to occur this far west. I have been surprised, therefore, that the
one near Clarkston has not stimulated more comment and interest. I have
been seeing reports of the bird on tweeters for several weeks now, but
today is the first time I have noticed *any* details (a poster today said it
was a first year bird).

The Ross's Gull sighting triggered all kinds of dialog about how many
times that species has occurred in Washington or on the west coast, and
many posters described the bird in some detail. What is the status of
Iceland Gulls in Washington?
