One of the problems with the list, to me, is the extensive quoting
of other messages, including signature lines. If people would
take care to delete everything but the most crucial parts of the
message they are replying to, the volume of mail would decrease
with no loss in the quality of communication. The number of
messages would be the same, but scrolling through screen after
screen of useless information would stop.
