Mike, while tweeters is probably a good source of info about birding in
other places, e.g,. Belize, you should probably try "rec.birds" in
the Usenet newsgroup hierarchy as well. There are lots of posts there
of this type --usually with some good responses.

On the other hand, the listserv BIRDCHAT is extremely busy --you'll
definitely be hunting down the wheat in the chaff of your e-mailbox with
birdchat.
