OK here is the answer:

First of all, the subject that I had in mind was countries in bird's
names.
The first trick was that the country names were in their Latin binomial,
Paradise Tanager (Tangara chilensis), Black-crested Antshrike (Sakesphorus
canadensis), Yellow-green Grosbeak (Caryothraustes canadensis), and
Oriole Blackbird (Gymnomystax mexicanus).

So big deal right, lots of birds have country names in their binomials.
Well, the second trick is that none of these birds have ever been seen
in the countries that they are named after!

There are at least two others which fit into this category, Todus mexicanus
the Puerto Rican Tody and Tangara mexicana, the Turquoise Tanager.

I really enjoyed the answers that were posted, tweeters are an imaginative
bunch. The only person that gave me the right answer was, well take a guess.
His name starts with a D and his last name with a P, I think he likes
shorebirds too.
