Hello,

Janet and I visited the "West 90" intersection of Samish flats on
Saturday. Martin Muller was there and had Bud's Gyr in his scope.
That's the gray phase Gyrfalcon that was banded two years ago by Bud
Anderson.

Last year the Falcon Research Group attached a $2500- satellite
transmitter to the same gyr. Unfortunately she managed to shed the
transmitter down a 250 foot overhanging cliff on Vendovi Island, in the
San Juans. If you are a climber and would like to help retrieve the
transmitter, please leave a message for Bud at (360) 757-1911.

Martin said that there is also a chocolate Gyr at the flats and perhaps
another gray phase one.

He also mentioned that Angeline, who had been the ruling falcon in
Seattle's downtown for a number of years has apparently left. She was
ousted from her area near the Washington Mutual tower by Stewart and his
new companion, Belle.
