Just a quick note on this past weekends pelagic trip out of Westport.
Nothing unusual out there this time. The weather was nice. Sunny with
winds out of the east. The most interesting birds were a late Pink-footed
Shearwater, 1 Pomermarine Jaeger, 20 or so Red Phalaropes, and an
encouraging 500+ Cassin's Auklets. We also saw 4 Black-footed Albatrosses,
many Fulmars, 4-5 Short-tailed Shearwaters, many Black-legged Kittywakes,
A few Ancient Murrlets, and 3 Marbeled Murlets. The Herrman's Gull that
has been spending the past few winters at Westport is back again this
year.

Mammal types seen were several Gray Whales, Pacific White-sided Dolphins,
Dall Porpoise, Harbar Porpoise, and a Fur Seal.
