Mike: I agree that your candidate birds are good choices. You may also
consider the Olive-sided Flycatcher - vocal and well heard even by those of
us (Dennis and me) who are losing it. Some won't admit to this loss and some
don't even recognize it as yet, but even this group could possibly gain
meaningful data on OSFL.

Is it habitat sensitive? I think so. My BBS results show changes as a
result of clear-cut logging and subsequent forest regeneration here on
Vancouver Island. I admit, however, my data are limited.

I am interested in hearing more about your project. It is something that
could easilly be extended north into British Columbia and definitely here on
Vancouver Island. Our results may very well compliment those of Washington.
