My favorite spot for observing GBH's is the Nisqually Delta Reserve, 15
minutes south of Tacoma.. My fiancee and I were down there yesterday
(Friday) afternoon and saw at least a dozen. Additionally, we saw 2 Bald
Eagles, several Northern Harriers, a Roughlegged Hawk, a Eurasion Wigeon,
hundreds of American Wigeons, as well as Buffleheads, Common Mergansers,
Coots, at least one Western Grebe, a Northern Shrike, a Red-winged
Blackbird, several Rufous-sided Towhees and myriad shore birds. Best to go
on a weekday as it can get pretty crowded on weekends.
