We were at the boeing pond 212 and 68th on Friday noon. There were
two white geese there--BOTH had black primaries. although we are
far from expert there were clear differences in beak shape and overall
size between the two. Two other birders there had scopes. One birder
had come down from the skagit and felt clearly that the larger goose
was a snow goose. Through the scope even I could seen the grin line.
The other, smaller goose appeared to be the ross's--all the pieces fit.
BTW-we went straight the location because of talk on tweeters while the
skagit birder said he had been looking for three days and had just found
the ross's. Thanks for good info.
