DATELINE EVERETT, WASHINGTION - July 4, 1995:
A Snohomish Golfer scored a birdie July 4th in Everett - and quickly found
himself under arrest. According to Everett police, the 57-year-old was playing
a round of golf at the Everett Golf and Country Club when events took a turn
towards the bizarre.

He was out golfing, said Police Sgt. John Springer. On the fourth hole,
he decided to take out a crow. Not with one of his clubs, mind you, but with
another weapon in his bag: a shotgun.

Blam, the police allege.

He just doesnt like crows,' Springer said of the golfer. I guess he
couldnt quite get it through his head that its illegal to shoot crows, or
guns of any kind in the city.

Officers bagged the urban hunter a short time later, still with his shotgun.
He stuck it in the (golf) bag and covered it up with a shirt or something,
and continued golfing, said Springer. The man was arrested on unspecified
charges.

Comment 1: The police report failed to note if the victim was a American Crow
or a Northwest Crow. Several Tweets may be required to attend the autopsy.

Comment 2: a golf course goose I could understand.
