Dennis asked if anyone got photos of the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper or
the weird brown peep. Not me. While I was able to get good looks
with the telescope (Kowa, 20-60X eyepiece, best looks of the birds
at about 40X), my wimpy 70-210 camera zoom would have turned the
birds into mere dots. One of these days I need to get one of those
neat big camera lenses mounted on a rifle stock. Though I suppose I
need to get a job that pays some money first. Or sell my house.
