Or buy your own listserver...hardware and software costs aren't
more than a couple $K, at most.

OBOL, while serious about birding is lacking in many things. Not
only limericks and non-relevant picnics, but serious discussions
about **ORNITHOLOGY**. And stuff like taxonomy, conservation,
etc.

If you're only interested in the hobby aspects of birding, and have
no interest in in-depth discussion of technical subjects, you are
oh-so-correct:

We're not just about birding.

We're about science and the enjoyment of the company of intellegent,
accomplished folks in many different fields.
