Thanks, Don, for your vociferous support of the wide range of topics that
we Tweeters discuss. Every time this thread comes up, I get really
nervous that we'll compromise or even lose this wonderful diversity--and
that would be a *real* shame. What a fine educational forum we have here.
As I've said before, I've learned a great deal about many things during my
first year as a Tweeters subscriber. *Please* let's not restrict
ourselves merely to lists of bird sightings....

P.S. I just got back from a Seattle Audubon Society field trip led by
Kevin Aenerud. We didn't see the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at Crockett Lake,
but it was a fabulous day anyway. New sightings for me include Caspian
Terns, House Wren, Heerman's Gulls, and Brown Creeper. Of course, we
didn't see these birds at Crockett Lake, but at various locations on
Whidbey Island.
