Strange to relate, but judging by the reports that come in that there's
hardly any shorebirding done in Vancouver BC, one of the best places on the
West Coast for it, but I finally got a report to pass on.

Tonight, Mark Wynja reported at least 3,000 WESTERN SANDPIPERS, at least 45
SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, 1 BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, 1 PECTORAL SANDPIPER, and 1
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, all in various states of alternate plumage, on the
Settling Ponds at Iona Is.
