Subject: Lewis' on Yakima River?

Saturday, I had the pleasure of rafting down the Yakima. The cliff
swallows were fantastic! Cedar waxwings were in abundance, as well as
kingbirds and (of course) RW blackbirds. Several times I got a glance at
what appeared to be Lewis' woodpeckers flying from one side of the river
to the other. Probably the most notable feature was the cream-colored
neckband and rose-colored breast--usually they were backlit by the sky
and it was difficult to see head markings. My question is has anyone
else noticed Lewis' in this kind of habitat, and if not, what other bird
do you think it could have been?
