We really like Kaalaloch Lodge out on the coast, but you *must* check on
reservations. The number is 206 962-2271. For birding there are many
riparian habitats, and rocky shores. You might try Oil City and walk out to
the beach. Also the area right around the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center is
good. I have birded with mixed success right around Kaalaloch Lodge.

If you do the Cascade Loop there is good birding at the Big Four trailhead
meadow.
