Just curious, given the recent note of several 'other' peregrines in the
Seattle area (apart from the famed WAMU family), whether anyone else has
observed a peregrine flying over the Seward Park area. While out running
over the past 2 weeks, of course without binocs, I've seen what looks
very much like a peregrine flying back and forth, most often above the
water between the west side of Mercer Island and the Lakewood Marina area
(about 1/2 mile south of the Sayres Boat Ramp area). It's a largish
raptor with an accipiter silhouette and small hooked beak, but that's
about all I could make out from the distance. It has no obvious
distinguishing coloring, but looks to be rather uniformly greyish in
color, perhaps with a swatch of lighter color on the breast. Thanks.
