I'm not sure if manx's still breed on the Isle of Man. There was a colony at
the Calf Of Man but if I remember correctly, numbers were declining. Rats are
probably the more likely reason.

They certainly don't lack any navigation skills. In one of the early studies
on migration a bird which was about to fledge from a colony on Bardesy, Wales
was transported to Newfoundland then released. It caught back in the colony in
three days !!!!
