Plenty of duck/goose hunters are neither young nor foolish, but in fact are
perfectly good people. I took out a Tahoma Audubon birding field trip some
time ago and was fascinated to discover how many of the participants were
either past or present duck hunters. It's not blasphemy to hunt birds
legally and use them for something (typically the pot); it's part of our
heritage as humans. Even if the majority is against such activities, that
doesn't make them bad. I think at this time, at least, in our history they
fall very nicely in the category of freedom of choice (to hunt ot not to
hunt is an individual decision).
