Alan,
1) Common Crows are common summer residents about the Vernita Rest Area in
northern Benton County. These birds nest (or most of them) in the newly
developing riparian area on the north side of the Columbia just north of the
rest area in southern Grant County.
2) Crows are recent arrivals to the Russian olives along Frenchman hills Road
in the vicinity of Dodson Road and may breed in that area also.
3)Crows are common spring and fall migrants anywhere in Grant County along the
Columbia River, especially noticeable in the early morning. Numbers loaf along
the gravel bars of the Columbia especially in the fall when water levels are
low.

Elsewhere in Grant County, crows are surprisingly scarce and mostly absent. I
suspect this is changing, however
