I spent a few minutes at the WW River delta yesterday and this afternoon.
Some of the bird there were as follows:

Thursday 20 Jul 1995 3pm Water level quite high.

Semi-palm. Plover 1
Dowitcher sp 2
Western SP 34
Least SP 13
Am Avocet 3
Killdeer 25+
L-b Curlew(?) 1

The curlew was most likely a Long-billed but may have been a Whimbrel (rare
here) since the beak was shorter and less curved than an adult curlew and
the the bird appeared grayer. It was too distant to detect any other
distinguishing field marks, ie head stripes. However, in my experience
young L-b Curlew beaks look similar to Whimbrels for a while after fledging.

Am. White Pelican 54
Caspian Tern 74
R-b Gull 75+
Cal. Gull 25+
D-c Cormorant 9
