Montlake Fill, Sunday, 23rd July

Shorebirds Unlimited (Nate Sutter and myself) had a great time doing some
urban landscaping. Alas, we were unable to share the experience with any
tweeters :-P.

Almost one third of the central pond has now been cleared. The 2 former
beaches are now joined in a continuous strip. There will be work parties
(hopefully more than the two of us this time - hint, hint) down there on
Thursday evening at 7pm and Sunday all day (well at least until exhaustion
forces us to stop).

Cool stuff seen:

2 green heron
1 dowitcher (still haven't bothered to ID this one correctly yet)
1 long-toed salamander (not 100% positive on the identification)

Glad to be back at work - time for a rest !!!!!
