Greetings-

What it boils down to is how much do you want to spend? Our comparison was
limited to a few scopes with the Kowa TSN-4 on the high end...

Best advice seems to be to get out on a Birding trip with a
group...perhaps the local Auduboners in your area...and try out several
different scopes...there are information packages/catalogs available from
#800 houses (like National Camera, Eagle Optics, Christopher's in OK) that
will send on request prices info and little mini courses in optics..try
those for gathering data to help you making your decision...

A good scope can really enhance your birding a lot...only you can make the
judgement about how much you want to spend, how much weight you can tolerate
carrying it, and what quality of color resolution will satisfy you..there are
really too many variables to discuss without knowing your specific needs...

Good luck...when you get ready to make a decision there are people on the
list who will be willing to help..
