At the Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) on Texel we have recently
found a forgotten stock of the rather popular written report 'Laboratory
Research on Seabirds', published in 1977 and written by Kees Swennen (in
English). It is an old, but rather attractive report on interesting cage experiments
with four species of pelagic seabirds, including Puffin, Razorbill, Common
Guillemot (or Murre if you wish) and (Black-legged) Kittiwake. All birds were
caught as chicks in Scotland, raised and kept in cages until they all started to
breed and reproduced successfully. We found 1200 copies in stock and we can
discard them or mail them off to anywhone interested in seabirds in general or
these matters in particular.

If you are interested, send me your full address and the number of (free) copies
required and I will send them (not by air, but surface mail).
