Let's not. Many of us would subscribe to that list too and then some
people might begin to post to both lists and then there'd be a bigger
mess. If the complainers don't know how to Delete without reading I for
one would be willing to help teach them.

Or the participants can create a temporary offline list just by using
multiple cc. It works for me with the sub-group that has formed around
the trips I've organized.

Some of the 'off topic' discussions are more interesting than some of the
'on-topic' discussions. Let's just be careful that the subject line
reflects the topic and/or warns about off-topic subject matter.
