Hi, Teresa and other fellow tweets,

I thought I'd respond to Teresa's request for other tweets' positions on
topics covered on tweeters.

I vote for keeping just one listserv and for any topic to be okay to
bring up. I, like Ted and others, don't understand why people who aren't
interested in a topic can't just delete messages and go on to others more
to their liking. If there isn't anything at the moment, they can start a
new thread instead of complaining.
About the scientific discussions, I, a nonscientist, frequently delete
long discussions on genetics and cladistics. I do not understand the
terminology and I won't make time to go learn something about the subject
(what I'd really like to do). However, I would never ask (much less TELL)
others not to have their discussions--I do appreciate learning that new
subjects/areas of science exist even though I may not ever know much
about them.
Oh, dear, I seem to be rambling ... but the bottom line is, for me, bring
on all your discussion topics and new scientific terms--I never know when
I might find a great new killer word for Scrabble! --Anna Coles,
