Tweets and OBOLers,

I'm off for 2 weeks vacation. First thing is to run a Breeding Bird
Survey route just east of Ritzville, WA and those wonderful Palouse birds...

Next, this webfoot needs to dry out his toes, so is heading for SE Oregon
- hoping to add some information to Paul Adamus' Oregon Atlas database
and Alan Contreras' Malheur County, Oregon bird records. Plus, to visit
the Trout/Pueblo/Oregon Canyon Mtns area and soak in the Hot Springs at
Hart Mtn National Antelope Refuge while the coyotes howl and the Poor-
wills call (please don't tell me they've closed the hot springs at the
campground...).

Just wanted to do two things:

1: Make the rest of you envy me my time off (as I was envious during
everyone else's trips to Malheur, etc. last week.

2: Cajole everyone into thinking about helping someone else's bird
projects by volunteering to gather data for them. "Birding with a
difference..."
